Joey Schulz

Education:

B.S., Boston College, Physics, 2021

Research: My current research focuses on treatment planning optimization, brachytherapy, and clinical workflow automation. I also dabble in 3D printing for novel shields and phantoms, as well as FLASH radiotherapy.

Future plans: I am currently aiming to achieve ABR certification in therapeutic medical physics, to eventually work at an academic medical center that integrates research and clinical practice in radiation oncology. I’m also considering starting a company—time will tell!

When not in the lab:  I enjoy long walks (possibly by the beach), reading, 3D printing doodads and knickknacks, trying out restaurants/bars with friends, and exploring local shops to craft the ultimate coffee and boba tier lists.
