Research: My research involves the use of the iQID, a compact autoradiography system in order to highlight alpha and beta particle-emitting radiopharmaceutical activity distribution in select tissue sections. Using off-the-shelf image registration programs and software, I also help develop histological-radiographical tissue matching procedures that compare biochemical and immunohistochemical stained tissue sections with their respective iQID activity maps to show correlation between biological and biochemical changes in tissue with radiopharmaceutical distributions.
Future Plans: My future plans involve either clinical work as an Imaging Medical Physicist in a clinic or to go into industry as a Biomedical Engineer, focusing on Imaging Systems that utilize imaging isotopes such as F-18 and Y-86.
When not in the lab: I’m either listening to music (all genres are welcome in my book), consuming content about economics, urbanism and theology or sampling delicious food from all over the Madison area.
